This time, we are going to study the church that is being mentioned in the Bible. And they alleged that the Apostles died because their church was not the true church, theirs was the true church. We will consult the Bible to find out if the claim of many churches, that they are the true church, were true, or not. Let us find out also if there is any truth to their assertion that they are the only true church, and whosoever does not join their church will never be saved. It is but natural that people develop the feeling that their church is the true church, and that only they will be saved. Actually, this is already an old claim by different religious organizations, and until now, this is still their claim. But let us find out from the Bible, which is the true church. That is why we better ask the Bible, which is the true church? If, in matters like this, there are “originals”, when it comes to the church, there is also an original, or the first church. Let us read Hebrews 12:23, “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to the God the judge of all?” St. Paul said, “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn.” Could there be another church that had come ahead of this? In other words, the very first church in the Bible is the church of the firstborn. Now, let us find out, to whom was the Bible ascribing the name “church of the firstborn”? And from the Bible, we have learned about the church of the firstborn. Deuteronomy 7:6-7 says, “For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Bible said, “The LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” Although there were greater and mightier nations, God still chose Israel. The Bible calls them as the Church of the Firstborn. Those very people of God were the ones being called as the church of the firstborn. That was the church of the firstborn, the church in the wilderness. What is our basis in saying that it was, indeed, Israel? In the Acts of the Apostles chapter 7 verse 38 it says, “This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sinai, and with our fathers who received the lively oracles to give unto us.” This is the Moses in the church in the wilderness. That was the church which was led by Moses, and this was called church of the firstborn or the church in the wilderness. The very first church is the church of the firstborn, and that was Israel. In the Bible, the church of the firstborn refers to the Israelites, not the Filipinos. This was the church in the wilderness of Sinai – the church of the firstborn. Is there any verse that would affirm that Israel was the church of the firstborn? Do we have a proof that Israel is the church in the wilderness and church of the firstborn, which God acknowledged then? and said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel.” There was no God in all the earth but in Israel. And this was confirmed by the “Pasyon” of the Catholics, which says,“Lalong dakila ang sala (Greater is the sin)Ng tanang anak ni Eva (by all of Eve’s children)Anakin idolatria (who practice idolatry)Kahit ano sinasamba (They worship anything)Pinaparang dios nila (They regard them as their god)Iisang nasyon sa mundo (There was but one nation on earth)Ang kumilalang totoo (that truly acknowledged)Sa Dios kumapal sa tao (the God who created man)Ito ngang mga Hudyo (the Jews)Bukod na walang anito (were the only ones who did not worshipfalse gods) Israel was the only nation that truly acknowledged God. The Jews were called the church of the firstborn, the church in the wilderness. And the church of the firstborn is the very first church of God.This time, let us read the verse, which a particular group uses as a basis in claiming that there is the true church. Matthew 16:18: “And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; Let us ask Christ why did He say, “Upon this rock I will build my church.” Christ said, I will build my church. The tabernacle of David in Israel had fallen, that is why God said, “I will build it as in the days of old.”We have read in Acts 7:38 that the first church was the church of the firstborn, the church in the wilderness. Do you know why the church that was built in Sinai, which was called the church in the wilderness, fell? So, God told Ezekiel, “prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; should not the shepherds feed the flock?” In your respective churches, who is feeding you? You see, there are, indeed, churches wherein the flocks are the ones feeding their shepherds. Ezekiel 34:2 says, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds: Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! II Chronicles 15:3 says, “Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.” In other words, God abandoned Israel. During that time, God was with them, but now, Israel is without a God, and without a teaching priest. So, they were scattered and they were driven to different places. Now, will God let His church be disintegrated and scattered for long? the church in the wilderness, which fell because of the abusive pastors. Let us read Revelations 22:16, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. Therefore, Christ, who also came from Israel, will be commissioned by God to raise up Israel which had fallen. This is what Matthew 16:18 says, “And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church …”Is that the first church? This is the reason why, when Christ came, He said, “And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church.” Why will He raise the church up? The church in the wilderness, the church of the firstborn, which is Israel, had fallen. Let us read Matthew 16:18 completely, “And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Its rebuilding was accompanied with a promise. Because his first church was destroyed by abusive pastors, this time, when Christ rebuilds it, He gave an assurance that “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” What does that mean?

Being open helps you get to know yourself and other people better, it makes you feel better about yourself because you express how you’re feeling and get to the core of your problems, and it makes you an invaluable friend. Open open open. What were your favourite childhood toys? However when there’s a lot of it all happening at one time I’m liable to whinge… What is your favourite action caption from the old batman tv show? Don’t care if people where them as long as they don’t wander around wearing ONLY them. The only thing I’ll eat at mcdonalds, but personally I think burger king is beetter. deep sea dive, although if I get eaten by a shark I’ll be very upset. On my side a lot of the time. What was your favourite after school special? 58.What is your favourite word? A lot of the time, I’m pretty ditzy when I want to be. I believe you should believe whatever you want to believe, and if you find out your wrong later, then bugger. What do you think about before you fall asleep? ‘what do I have to do tomorrow?’ And then i think of all the things I have to do tomorrow. I don’t think there’s true good and true evil in people, most people have the right intentions, and if they don’t, it’s because society did something to them to make them weirdo’s. End this survey with a quote: can you believe I can’t even think of one??!

The daughter is in her last year at Keio University and her father is worried. Now, the father is worried because the man in question seems to have graduated from university quite late in life and does not appear to be in stable employment, while his daughter is making her way in the world. So, on the face of things and by Japanese standards, the British man seems to be behaving selfishly and whimsically by indulging his dreams for personal fulfillment instead of realising his responsibilities to his fiancee, and the Japanese daughter is the responsible one who has now found a stable job with a big company and, come graduation in April next year, will settle down to a calm and sensible adult life. Far from being a responsible adult, in my opinion, it was the daughter who was indulging in naive fantasies of conducting an international jet-setting career and ignoring the need to be a truly responsible human being. By working for such a company, who appear to have little regard for the sanctity of life on our Earth, wasn’t she the selfish one and her British fiance, who was helping Polish people integrate into a globalizing world by giving them better language skills, the moral adult, I asked? I hope she might reassure the father that his daughter’s fiance may not be all that bad, as well as persuade the daughter that there may be some more important things in life than simply doing what appears to be expected by sekentei.

The warning came in the form of strep throat. It all started Sunday, when I realized I had been existing for the prior 4 days on only 4 hours of sleep each night. So I needed to make the place suitable for resting! At the doctor’s office, my very sympathetic and sweet nurse did a throat culture, and my new doctor informed that I was very positive for strep throat. I quickly informed him he was NOT FUNNY and that I will take positive results for strep throat over pregnancy any day, thank you very much! What happened next brought back bad flashbacks from childhood. This time, I behaved much better and bit back my screams, and the nurse was smart enough to make me stand so I couldn’t kick her.Once I received the official diagnosis, I finally came to terms with the fact that I was really sick and should rest. I slept, laid in bed, watched movies, and slept some more. I realized that I eat out of boredom, so quitting work and staying at home is completely out of the question (as if it were even a possibility…) Unless I want to weigh 500 pounds.I’m back to work today, and couldn’t be happier!

Array-ne A representative of the youth wing of the ruling Social Democrats (SSU) in Sweden has come out with a motion to impose price cuts on feminine products…Åsa Hammarström, SSU representative has proposed a motion for cheaper menstrual protection for women.Yes, thats right, there are a number of us behind the motion.”Why is it an important question?”Because menstruation is not something that we women have chosen to have. Otherwise I guess you could make the concession that if you get to menopause without bearing children you can get a rebate or something extra in your pension to cover the cost since you didn’t benefit from the kids.(You could also say that in a sense, humans have chosen to menstruate since if they didn’t none of us would be here talking about the price of fish.

The people of Shamattawa need jobs, opportunities and the chance to believe that a brighter future is possible, not more wardens of despair and a government-supplied set of shoulders to cry upon. The fundamental truth that nobody wants to admit in discussions of Canada’s First Nations is that reserve societies no longer function because all of the checks and balances which previously held these communities together have been removed and never replaced.First Nation communities survived and thrived for centuries due to their intimate physical and spiritual relationship with the lands they inhabited. Furthermore, a whole society of lazy people would likely not have survived to encounter the first European explorers.Through centuries of war, disease, dispossession and most recently Indian Affairs policies, the survival of the tribe was decoupled from the land. In other words, the checks and balances that living off the land created were removed, but the people and society remained on the reserve, where they could not take effective part in the new Canadian mainstream.

I didn’t buy Identity Crisis, the only tie-in minis I even tried were OMAC (for which I tried the first issue at 75 cents, but didn’t feel like reading further) and Villains United (which I continue buying, even though I’m not digging it nearly as much as others seem to), and I’m feeling virtually no anticipation for the big event itself. Thus, it should come as no surprise that I’m not terribly thrilled about having the DC books I *do* buy being turned into tie-in books. (Even if we assume the unlikely prospect that only the first of Keith’s issues is a tie-in, that’s still six issues.) Why is DC, or at least Geoff Johns, insistent on co-opting this title for tie-in purposes for a full 2/3 of a year, and for two months longer than the title it’s being tied into?I’d drop the book tomorrow if it wasn’t for the equally aggravating fact that Johns (and presumably Champagne) are still advancing certain ongoing subplots in these issues.

When Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans it was the city’s poor - almost exclusively African Americans - who were left to fend for themselves as the city drowned in a lake of toxic sludge. They are the victims of a devastating combination of forced evictions, a failure to reopen the city’s public house projects, rent gouging and - as in the case of Mildred - a decision to write off whole neighbourhoods. They are victims too of a reconstruction effort that, while its funding remains stalled in Congress, and lacking proper leadership, has been left to the care of the private sector with little interest in the city’s poor. It is fuelled by the suspicion among the city’s dispersed poor that what is happening is nothing short of an attempt to redraw the city’s demographics and gentrify it. It is a suspicion fuelled by widely reported comments from senior administration and city officials that in the future New Orleans, which once had a population that was 65 per cent black, will no longer look that way. New Orleans is not going to be as black as it was for a long time, if ever again.’Jackson is not alone in holding that view.’As a practical matter, these poor folks don’t have the resources to go back to our city, just like they didn’t have the resources to get out of our city,’ said Joseph Canizaro, once one of the city’s biggest developers and a member of New Orleans’ rebuilding commission. It’s not what I want, it’s just a fact.’While some in the city are overtly racist, what is happening in New Orleans is only racist by default. Public housing campaigners in the city believe that 3,750, or about half of the public housing units, are either ready for occupation now or can easily be made so. Yet only a few dozen have been reopened. The net effect is a city that is not only too expensive for its low-income families to return to, but a city that many are not sure they want to reclaim. The places that they visited were a bustle of activity, including one city worker set pointlessly to work with a tree pruner neatly clipping the branch ends of a tree.It was a different story just 15 minutes’ drive across the city in the flood-devastated neighbourhoods of the Ninth and Lower Ninth and in the city’s east. A report commissioned from the Urban Land Institute by New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been equally controversial in suggesting that resources be focused on rebuilding New Orleans’ less damaged neighbourhoods first - which also happen to be the wealthier ones - while studying whether it makes sense to repopulate areas that saw the worst flooding. And while Nagin has sought to calm critics by stressing that ‘every section of the city will be rebuilt’, the long delays in the poorest and worst-affected districts have effectively condemned vast areas of largely wooden housing to rapid disintegration.Which makes such men as Newell Jack doubly courageous in trying to come back. Now only a few score are occupiedThe sum needed to rebuild homes in New Orleans: more than 0 billion114,000 buildings have been inspected - around half of those in the city.

There are three platoons of males, and one of females, so it’s likely we’ll end up with a roughly 75% male, 25% female mix.So far the food has been pretty decent in the DFAC (dining facility) here in Reception. The DFAC here is a lot more laid back than the DFACs at basic. I expect that we’ll all have a boost in morale once we are finally able to receive mail on a regular basis.Yesterday morning we received shots for TD, IPV, MGC, MMR, HEP B, PPD, and a Flumist syringe up the nostrils.

Array I don’t know if you saw the Reuters article filed this afternoon documenting the flaws and inadequacies in the US military investigations of 27 suspected and confirmed deaths in US custody overseas. http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticleSearch.aspx?storyID=250957 19-Oct-2005 RTRS&srch=dunham There are primary source documents that reveal the blatant inadequacy of the government’s response to these deaths in U.S. custody: http://www.humanrightsfirst.org/us_law/etn/dic/dic_memos.htm. Thanks, Amelia Field EndTortureNow.org Human Rights First Media Release www.humanrightsfirst.org Contact: Daedre Levine, (212) 845-5260, levined@humanrightsfirst.org Twenty-Seven Detainee Homicides in U.S. Custody Lax Policies and Inadequate Investigations Create Culture of Impunity, Human Rights First Research Shows NEW YORK, NY – More than 100 detainees have died in U.S. custody since 2002, Human Rights First research in a soon to be released report indicates, including 27 cases the Army has to date identified as suspected or confirmed homicides, and at least seven cases in which detainees were tortured to death. The findings come as chairmen and ranking members of a House/Senate Conference Committee are scheduled to meet next week to determine whether to include in a defense appropriations bill an amendment setting clear rules for U.S. interrogation policy to prohibit abusive treatment (see list of conference committee members at http://www.humanrightsfirst.org/us_law/etn/misc/conf_com.htm.) New analysis by Human Rights First of dozens of deaths in U.S. custody reveals a pattern of grossly inadequate and flawed investigations – Commanders have repeatedly failed to report deaths of detainees in the custody of their command, reported the deaths only after a period of days and sometimes weeks, launched serious investigations only after a case became publicly known, or actively interfered in efforts to pursue investigations. The Army’s initial criminal investigations into Kenami’s death could not determine the cause of death without an autopsy. It was only months later, after the revelations from Abu Ghraib, that the Army reopened many cases of deaths in custody to review, that it became clear how troubling the original criminal investigation had been. In addition to the lack of autopsy, the review determined that important interviews were not conducted of the interrogators, medic, or detainees present at the scene of the death, and that key details were omitted from the report. Army investigators became aware of his death approximately one year after it happened, and only after the Army reviewed its detainee records following the Abu Ghraib scandal. Commanders repeatedly failed to report deaths of detainees in the custody of their command, reported the deaths only after a period of days and sometimes weeks, launched serious investigations only after a case became publicly known, or actively interfered in efforts to pursue investigations. U.S. forces retained al-Izmerly’s body for 17 days after his death, and did not inform Army criminal investigators that al-Izmerly had died in U.S. custody until after his body was released. The family only learned of his death after U.S. forces delivered al-Izmerly’s body to an Iraqi hospital, accompanied by a death certificate stating that al-Izmerly had died of a “sudden brainstem compression,” The Army Criminal Investigation Command listing for al-Izmerly’s death is “undetermined cause,” The family reportedly filed a wrongful death claim for 0,000, but the Army dismissed it, saying the family had presented no evidence of wrongdoing by U.S. personnel.

Array Are you coming with me?)I’ve been monitoring the temperature, humidity, and heat index for the following cities today: Madison, WI; Interestingly enough, Madison is keeping up with the Southern cities right now. As of 1:30, the temps were: Madison 91(96), Birmingham and Jackson 90(92), Orlando 77(77) and Miami 80(84). I have a new t-shirt that says I [heart] Cowboys and a new belt buckle (thanks Carrie!) so now I just need to get a belt.

Forer found that people have a natural tendency to strongly identify with vague and generalized statements about themselves. In 1948, Forer gave his psychology students a personality test and then gave each one the same evaluation, which he had copied from a newsstand astrology column. in which the two countries nevertheless kept pouring their resources.Texas Sharpshooter Fallacy Named after the storybook Texan who shoots at a barn and then draws a bull’s eye around the bullet holes.“Politicians, lawyers, and some scientists tend to isolate clusters of diseases from their context,” For example, in the ‘80s, the California farming town McFarland made headlines “after a woman whose child was found to have cancer learned of four other children with cancer in just a few blocks around her home.” McFarland is not an exception, says Gawande, who cites other examples of neighborhood cancer clusters. But it’s a fact that clusters of disease—even those six or seven times higher than expected—in any one neighborhood may well be within statistically normal limits… especially with a hard-to-pin-down disease like cancer. In the case of McFarland, for example, it turned out that the eleven sick children had nine different forms of cancer. Most people think it’s strange when they toss a coin and heads comes up four times in a row, says the SD.

Guys don’t actually look after good-looking girls. Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about. Guys go crazy over a girl’s smile. Guys usually try hard to get the girl who has dumped them, and this makes it harder for them to accept their defeat. Guys go crazy when girls touch their hands. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like. When a girl says no, a guy hears it as try again tomorrow. A guy often thinks about the girl who likes him. Guys can make gossips scatter through half of the face of the earth faster than girls can. Guys love girls with brains more than girls in miniskirts. Guys try to find the stuffed toy a girl wants but would unluckily get the wrong one. Guys cannot keep secrets that girls tell them. You have to tell a guy what you really want before getting involved with that guy. When an unlikable circumstance comes, guys blame themselves a lot more than girls do. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl. Guys believe that there’s no such thing as love at first sight, but court the girls anyway and then realize at the end that he is wrong. A guy may instantly know if the girl likes him but can never be sure unless the girl tells him. A guy would waste his time over video games and basketball, the way a girl would do over her romance novels and make-ups. Guys love girls who can cook or bake. Guys are more talkative than girls are especially when the topic is about girls. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions but still love them more. Guys don’t care about how shiny their shoes are unlike girls. Guys tend to generalize about girls but once they get to know them, they’ll realize they’re wrong. Guys find it so objectionable when a girl swears.83. Guys learn from experience not from the romance books that girls read and take as their basis of experience. Guys seek for advice not from a guy but from a girl. If a guy says you’re beautiful, that guy likes you. Guys hate girls who overreact.

As I looked back onto my last blog I realize that it’s been a year since I left the army, and a year since I took time to reflect on all that’s been happening. This trend continued into my 2b term where I even though I tried my best, I still only ended up with a term average of 77 or something like that – ironically, that’s be EXACT same average that I’ll be getting EVERY term since 1A. I know my kin stuff but I DID NOT know how to interact with people, and so my ratings were mediocre. So after my 3 work term in a physio clinic, I decided to quit co-op, which was a very timely decision because I got my worst rating yet (but that place was quite shady in itself)***TURNING POINT #1 – See love***So as you can see, in my 3A there was a turning point in my life, and that without a doubt was Deb. I knew at that time that I was going to apply for physiotherapy but I knew that I wasn’t going to make it this time around. Open up my email and I see “Congratulations” …so I’m like oh great, I won another free mortgage estimate, goodlife fitness pass or a years supply of Viagra. But no…it was from Mac – After a 6 month long roller coaster ride, I got in…wow….praise God.1.2 - friendsIt’s a sad day but also a great day because friends are leaving but moving on to better things. I can’t think of a better way to do this than to address some of my closets friends for the past few yearsAlex Chinn [A-BOMB!]: I’ve known you for so long but never go to talk to you until this year, but non-the-less, you’ve been such a great friend. I know you’ll be one of those “good doctors” (see the passions section) and maybe one day we’ll work together once again.Ben [BenZookA]: LOL…the only thing I can think about now, is how we touched our noses….ugh…haha….nothing but good times Bro. You’re one of those that I know God will use to do AMAZING things, and someone I’m proud to call one of my best friends.Shu Ling [Bodmonz] – Probably one of my best friends, we’ve known each other for what seems forever now. Can’t even start to thank you enough, but that’s because I know you’ll always be continually challenging me and making me a better person.Steph: I think you’re the only girl here. I’ve always thought that you have this massive hidden potential…it’ll be a great day when I see you achieve when I know you’re capable of.1.3 .1 - love and passionThis section is really the “meat” of all sections. I find it no coincidence that the term that we started dating was also the term that I got my first above 80 term average. Our academics continued to improve as we learned how to support and encourage each other. And I have to type this because it REALLY shows how amazing God is, and how He will bless you infinitely if you just trust Him.Fall term - pre-dating R:77 D:70’s Winter - Start datingR:84D:83FallR:88 D:92 –> crazynessWinterR:90D:88***AND AGAIN*** the only thing I’m showing off is God’s GLORY! I know that posting actual numbers will confuse people but I just don’t think that saying “we improved” isn’t enough for me to fully show how God has been working in and though us.Additionally, my family has fallen in love with deb. Although I’ve never knew the inner workings of their relationship, I knew he deserved more. In those years leading to now, I’ve had AMAZING opportunities to work with amazing people, and all thanks to a dedication to learn. I’ve worked with a 7 time Canadian Chief Medical Officer for the Olympics, a world renowned back specialist and great sport sociology prof.I really want to thank all those people I’ve worked with because of their passion for their work. Just like when I was talking to Herman about his ankle and he told me that I had educated him about his foot for the first time and the Doc didn’t say anything to him except for “stay off it”.Yeah I know that passion is a gift, but that doesn’t mean you sit on your ass and wait for passion to come to you. I know a kin student who’s been working in a clinic for years, is passionate about her work, and is a great therapist, but because she decided to take more challenging and interesting courses, she didn’t have the marks to get an interview for physio. I’ve worked in a clinic for 2 years, worked with renowned specialists and worked my fingers to the bone because of my passion, but if I didn’t get that 88%, I never would have made it.

Array-ne I heard emotional cheating is worse then physical cheating. Well, I realized last night, while tossing and turning for four hours, that it kinda was cheating. One guy cheated with his son’s den mother. Another guy cheated on his wife two days after they got married. One guy cheated on his wife after 18 years of marriage. He always wants me to talk to him and tell him how I feel but how can I when if it’s something he doesn’t want to hear he just won’t listen? It’s easy to get over one’s own mistakes but when that mistake affects somebody else it’s a whole different ball game buddy. She knows how crappy I feel, understands why, knows which girls are psycho and evil and for what reason, and is willing to beat the shit out of some girls if need be.

-ne Adventures in bird control. Tonight our instructor demonstrated several methods for controlling crop-decimating birds in the vineyard. This was well-timed as the birds go after the red grapes first, and ours are just starting to get some color. The other methods were audio-scare devices, one being a propane cannon that is fired at regular intervals, the other a large audio amplifier and PA speakers duct taped to the side of a truck blaring recordings of birds being attacked and eaten by other predatory birds.

At the end of my 1st year, I was the only 1st year to run for the President of The Student Government Association. The movie made me decide to go back to Wooster, and pick up and put together all the pieces of my dreams and heart from the end of my 1st year. As soon as I came back to Woo, and I made new friends and got back together with old friends. At the very 1st second I got back to Wooster, I made a promise to myself, which was being forever walking tall, and standing up for what I believe and the justice.

But so much has progressed since June that I have to continue the blogging journey.Since June my 9 year old daughter has taken a week long trip with her grandmother to New York, has attended a girls summer camp with nuns at St. Johns Monastery, my 7 year old was in a production of Jack and the Beanstalk (as a jumping bean) , I have taken yet another trip to St. Xenias Skete, I started bi-monthly therapy sessions AND I had a surprise water park/pool party for my 41st birthday! The ending phase (hope hope) in my recovery is now therapy. I’m starting my third year of homeschooling next week. The first year I was exhausted and pregnant, the second year I suffered from post partum depression. This year ought to rock cuz here I come with more wisdom, patience, energy, excitement, joy, a stronger faith and hope for the future-whether it is on this earth or the Heavenly Kingdom.
